A thoughtful space for what you’re carrying.

Individual therapy for children, teens, and adults in Groton, Connecticut . Therapy to support emotional well-being and help you navigate life’s challenges, anxiety, depression, transitions, and trauma.

Ways we can work together

Therapy for Children

Individual therapy with children is a supportive and engaging space where children can express their feelings, build coping skills, and work through challenges in ways that feel comfortable to them. Therapy may include play, art, creative activities, and age-appropriate conversations to help children explore their emotions and experiences.

Therapy for Teens

Individual therapy with teens provides a supportive, comfortable space where they can talk openly, explore their emotions, and work through challenges at their own pace. I use conversation, creativity, and activities that fit each teen’s personality and interests to help them build coping skills, confidence, and emotional awareness. My goal is to create a trusting relationship where teens feel heard, respected, and comfortable being themselves.

Therapy for Adults

Individual therapy for adults offers a inviting, supportive space to slow down, work things through, and feel more like yourself again. Life can bring stress, difficult emotions, relationship challenges, and unexpected transitions. Together, we’ll explore what you’re experiencing and find ways to help you feel more grounded, confident, and able to move forward. Therapy is collaborative and tailored to you, your experiences, and what feels most helpful along the way

Telehealth

If meeting from the comfort of home feels like a better fit, or you need the convenience of a more flexible option, secure telehealth sessions are available throughout Connecticut. Whether we meet face-to-face or virtually, you’ll have a welcoming and supportive space where you can feel comfortable, be yourself, and focus on what matters most to you.

Therapy Session Interaction

Experienced, steady support for the people in this room.

Hi, I’m Jennette.

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. I provide a warm, welcoming space where you can feel comfortable being yourself, talk openly, and know that you’ll be met with compassion.

I believe therapy should feel like a place where you can be honest about what’s really going on. You don’t have to have the right words, know exactly what you need, or have everything figured out before you walk through the door. We can start wherever you are.

Care for different ages and seasons of life.

Jennette provides individual therapy for children, teens, and adults. Parent support is also available. Each person arrives with their own questions and circumstances.

Therapy Session Discussion

EMDR Therapy

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a therapy approach Jennette provides. It can involve recalling a difficult experience while following guided eye movements or another form of alternating stimulation. You can ask questions before deciding whether to explore it.

You don’t need the perfect words to begin.

Trauma

When something that happened keeps showing up — in the body, in sleep, in reactions that don’t feel like yours.

Anxiety

The constant hum of worry, the what-ifs, the tension that never quite switches off.

Depression

The flatness, the heaviness, the effort of getting through days that used to feel easier.

Parenting through it
